My crews and I after my last flight as Top Hat 1,
Mind – You have planned, coordinated, and are well rested and nourished. Time to step and go do your job. Executing the mission may seem like the most difficult part of your plan, but in reality, taking the first step is usually the hardest. What are your hindrances? For some it may be fear, inertia, pride, or just plain skill. My experience though, points to fear of the unknown as the toughest part to master. Once the mission is underway you will be just fine. Have you every noticed that? Once you are caught up in the moment and executing, whether poorly or perfectly, you don’t have time to worry about whatever you were worried about. The point…jump in and start, the rest will take care of itself.
